of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Friday evening April 6, 2012. Claudine was born June 25, 1929 in Vicksburg, Mississippi a daughter of Dave and Emma Attaberry Downs. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life. Claudine was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, William H. Allen on June 23, 2010. She is survived by 2 children, Jewell Joseph Perry of Wyoming, MI and William Dawn Allen, Jr. of Kalamazoo; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to The Humane Society of South Central Michigan, 2500 Watkins Rd., Battle Creek, MI 49015. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
