NAGEL, Catherine Of Parchment Catherine went home to be with her Lord Tuesday morning, October 26, 2010 at Park Village Pines, where she had resided for the past 7 years. Catherine was born November 18, 1914 in Kalamazoo, the last of four children to the late Henry and Gertrude VanBruggen Koster. She worked for Nagel Bulb Farm for 30 years until her retirement. Catherine was a member of Parchment Christian Reformed Church and J.O.Y. Club in Kalamazoo. Preceding her in death were her husband, Henry Nagel on Sept. 1, 1996; her son, Henry Nagel on Feb. 13, 2006; parents; one sister, Jane Koster; and two brothers, Herman and Julius Koster. Surviving are her daughter, Marge Jerry Bensema of Denver, CO; daughter-in-law, Trudy Nagel of Kalamazoo; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Paula Nagel, Douglas Sindy Nagel, and Kimberly Charles Kincaid all of Kalamazoo; seven great-grandchildren, Nicole, Joshua, Jessica, Nathan, Kaylee, Addison, and Alexandra; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Catherine will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Parchment Christian Reformed Church, 1615 E. G Avenue with Rev. Kevin Heeres officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, and on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. NOTHING SCHEDULED ON FRIDAY Private family interment will be in East Cooper Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, or Parchment Christian Reformed Church.
