Kalamazoo Carol passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 12, 2008 at her home. She was born April 13, 1943 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Rex and Betty Woodward Packard. Carol was a longtime member of Westwood Church of God. On August 17, 1962, she was united in marriage to Henry D. Jaquays, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Charles Linda Sams Jaquays and Henry Jr. Leesa Jaquays both of Parchment; 5 grandchildren, Andrew, Carla, Jillian, Jack, and Sara; 2 great-grandchildren, Chance and Dakota; 1 step-daughter, Julee Nathan Rodriguez of Utah; 2 sisters, Julie and Roxey; 1 brother, Brad; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents and 1 brother, Buzz. Services for Carol will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Pastor Jerry Lewis officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
