of Texas Twp., Michigan Passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Age 80. Antonia was born in Palmerton, PA on May 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Frank and Victoria Bednar Vido. She graduated from Penn State University, where she met her husband, Carter Brooks, who survives her. They were married on September 1, 1956, while he was in medical school and she was working in research for Merck. Also surviving are two sons and one daughter, Paul Rebecca Brooks of Ypsilanti, Susan John Herzog of Brighton and Andrew Diana Brooks of Red Hook, N.Y.; six grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Marge Nothstein and Frank Vido; three nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Vido, Mary Pociluyko and Helen Moeller. Cremation will take place. A visitation will take place from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church, 2010 Nichols Rd. The Rev. Mary Perrin and The Rev. Linnea Stifler will officiate. Memorials may be given to St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church.
