DEVRIES, Mrs. Anne
Of Kalamazoo Anne was born October 6, 1918, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Hemmo and Cora DeVries Mejeur and went home to be with her Lord on November 19, 2011, in South Haven, MI. She was a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and lifelong member of the Second Christian Reformed Church. On August 6, 1940, she was united in marriage to William J. DeVries, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Baumstein and three sisters, Ruth Kuiper, Renetta Jager and Emma Brinks. Surviving are a son and daughter, Roger Mary Jo DeVries of South Haven and Corene Terry DeHaan of Bloomington, IL; grandchildren, Michael Sonja DeVries, David Jenny DeHaan, Lisa Chris Jackman, Kevin Cindy DeHaan and Scott DeHaan; great-grandchildren, Cody Baumstein, Caden, Arie and Gracie Jackman, Reagan, Caitlyn and Zachary DeHaan; a brother, Garry Mejeur; nieces and nephews. A private family committal service will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park North. The family will receive friends from 10-11am Tuesday, November 22 at Second Christian Reformed Church 3015 Nichols Rd where a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 22 with Rev. Dr. Warren Lammers officiating. Memorials in Anne?s memory may be directed to Second Christian Reformed Church or Hospice of South Haven.
