William John Deblecourt, age 60, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Kalamazoo, MI. Bill was born on September 13, 1956 in Kalamazoo, MI a son of Jacob and Beverly (Hill) Deblecourt and had been a lifelong area resident. He entered the US Army in 1974 and was honorably discharged in 1977.
Bill worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for many years and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father. On August 2, 1985, Bill married the former Bernadean Kiewiet, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Anthony Joseph Kiewiet and Anna (Matthew) Barney all of Augusta; three grandchildren, Taylor Provost, Mariah Provost and Sara Barney; his mother, Beverly (Robert) Gabel; three brothers, Rick (Beverly) Deblecourt, Don (Cathy) Deblecourt and Jim (Margo) Deblecourt all of Kalamazoo; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Steve (Carol Anne) Kiewiet of Kalamazoo, William (Brenda) Loviska of Climax, Cara (Robert) Moore of Ohio and Kimberly (Trace) Reed of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 6-8PM on Wednesday, August 2nd, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek Street. Services will be held 11AM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor R.J. Morelli, officiating. Private interment with military honors will be held in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to Temple Baptist Church.
