Thomas Karl Pfau

Passed away Tuesday morning, May 22, 2018. Tom was born July 1, 1946 in Kalamazoo the son of the late Karl and Eleanor (Flagg) Pfau. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1968-1972. Tom was employed with Western Michigan University for 32 years as a Lab Assistant until his retirement. He enjoyed Astronomy, riding his bike, animals and nature. Tom also enjoyed taking trips to the Upper Peninsula. On February 12, 2002 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Sok "Suemi", who has been his companion since 1979. Also surviving are his step-children, Steve (Melanie) Aldridge, Betsie (Semein) Chimney; granddaughter, Kennedy; his brother, Fred (Janet) Pfau; and nieces and nephew, Michelle (Mike) Enwright, Valerie (Matt) Boven, Doug (Lindsy) Pfau. Friends may meet the family from 5-7pm Thursday, May 24 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre where funeral services will be held Friday, May 25 at 11:00am. Immediately following the funeral service, friends may join the family at the Korean Christian Reformed Church, 109 Mission Drive, Vicksburg 49097. Interment will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery Tuesday, May 29 at 11:00am (meet in assembly area at 10:50am). Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
