Suzanne Lee Bills

Suzanne "Suzi" Lee Bills, age 84, died on December 5, 2017 in Bronson Hospital. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI on December 12, 1932 the daughter of Ralph F. and Marjorie H. (Goldman) Bunto and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for most of her life. She graduated from State High School, attended Michigan State University, and studied art education at Western Michigan University. Throughout her life, she was a painter in water color and oils, an avid reader, and developed a passion for golf. Later in her life, she worked at local retail stores, putting her artistic talents to use, though her true passion was always in spending time with her family. On June 19, 1954, Suzi married Harold "Skip" L. Bills, who preceded her in death on June 15, 2010. Suzi was also preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, William Bunto. Surviving are five children, Laurie (Charlie) Hittle of Spring Lake, Michael L. Bills of Grand Rapids, Terry Bills of Olalla, WA, Patricia S. Bills of Cincinnati, OH, and Andrew R. Bills of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren, Ben and Elizabeth Tokarski, Samantha and Jenna Bills, and Jacob and Jordan Bills; great-grandson, Dallas Summerix; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
