Passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Battle Creek. Age 57. Robert was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 16, 1960. He was baptized at Stewart Avenue Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh and currently attended St. Michael Lutheran Church in Portage. He was an accomplished artist as well as an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and golfing. He is survived by his son, Ryan Paul Macher; father, Paul Earl Macher; two brothers and one sister, Randy Macher, Richard Macher and Lisa (Tim) Klein; nieces and nephews, Megan Rae Macher, Collin Klein, Jeremy Klein and Lilian Klein. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Joyce (Brown) Macher. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Paul Naumann officiating. Cremation will follow after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
