Kathleen Sue Padgett

Kathleen Padgett, 65, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018. She was born June 23, 1952 in Jackson, MI to the late John and Greta (Freeland) Born. Kathleen was united in marriage to Chet Padgett on March 8, 1990. Kathleen is remembered for her intense love and devotion to her family. Her selflessness, compassion and dedication for caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchild was beyond compare. Her daily life taught us all how to love one another and treat everyone with grace. Kathleen is survived by her children, Michael (Sheree) Clapper, Daniel Clapper, Debra Clapper, Gary (Jeannine) Clapper, Bret (Jennifer) Padgett and Jamie (Clive) Preece; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, Janis (Lauren) French, Linda Born, John (Vicky) Born and Tim (Jody) Born; and several nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends on Monday, March 19th from 6-8PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Hwy., where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 20th at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
