Judith K. Costello, 80, of Kalamazoo, MI died peacefully at Borgess Hospital on Saturday, May 13, 2017. During the last few months of illness, she received an enormous amount of love from friends and family. Despite the illness, her last days were happy. Memorial services will be held in the outdoors that she loved so much. She will be surrounded by green grass, tall trees and a beautiful blue sky in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. The service will be conducted by family and friends. It will be a time to mourn, share memories, see old friends and family, heal ourselves, sing and celebrate the life of a woman who lived and loved so much. Please bring your memories of Judith's life to share with us. In spite of her fondness for fashion, friends are invited to honor her by wearing their favorite clothes, casual or dress. Her legacy is the inspiration she gave us and the changes she brought about in the lives of those she knew, met and loved and of those who loved her. Instead of sending flowers, we ask that you take a friend to lunch or dinner and tell him or her things we often think of only after someone is gone. Judith is survived by her children, Michael (Michelle) Costello, Sabrina Tyler and Rebecca Costello; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a blessing on the way; and many nieces and nephews. Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Gene Costello; a son, Mitchell Shane; and 3 brothers and 3 sisters. A graveside service will be Wednesday, May 17th at 1:30 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should arrive between 1:15 - 1:30pm at the cemetery. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
