Passed away on October 28, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on September 17, 1943 in Bingen am Rhein, Germany, the daughter of Johan and Katharina Kneisch. On April 13, 1963, Helga was united in marriage to Danny L. Grim. She had an eye for antiques and loved upselling her finds that she would acquire from the side of the road or from the many flea markets she loved to shop. Helga enjoyed the casino and loved to play bingo. Surviving are 3 daughters and 1 son: Gail (Joseph) Carrington, Danny Grim, Katharina Grim and Maria Grim Millers all of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren: Theodore Haas, Emily Haas, Joshua Lambert, Justin (Katie Jarrett) Hettinger and Sierra Millers; 3 great-grandchildren: Alex Haas, Sammy Haas and Emmalise Windschell; and brother: Karlheinz Kneisch of Germany. Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; 2 brothers: Wolfgang and Gunter Kneisch and a great-grandson: Baby Charlie. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, Nov. 2, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, Nov. 3, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest North Park. Memorial contributions in Helga's memory be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. The family would like to thank Hospice and their own family and friends for the excellent care provided to Helga during her illness.
