Passed away on Friday March 31, 2017. Age 88. Fredrick was born in Detroit on June 26, 1928, the son of the late George Davis and Jean (Watt) Davis. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. During the Korean War. He spent his career owning and operating his own insurance company, Davis Insurance Agency. He belonged to the Portage Senior Center, enjoyed scuba diving, was a sail plane pilot, rode dirt bikes and loved to play pool. He was married to Martha Jean Rackley, who preceded him in death on September 3, 2003. He is survived by five children, Ann (Bob) Rutherford, Gail Block, Robin Block, Scott (Valerie) Davis, Tracy VanBaalen; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild expected soon. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother, Betty, Jean and Robert. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
