Everett Donald Vandenboss, 83, of Climax, Michigan, passed away July 14, 2017. He was born July 15, 1933 in Butterfield, Michigan, the youngest son of Peter and Lulu (Carpenter) Vandenboss. He was the youngest of 14 and his sister Glennie Swann survives. He served in the US Army Rangers from 1953 through 1955. Everett was united in marriage on December 28, 1953 in Falmouth, Michigan, to Marilyn Tacoma. He was employed by the Kellogg Company for 29 years and was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, participating in the Scotts Mill Park tractor and steamer shows, recreational golf with his family, putzing with his tractors, sharing his wealth of wisdom with guests and families in his "Geenyus is In" pole barn, and any party event either with friends or family. Everett was preceded in death by his son Jeff Vandenboss earlier this year. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Marilyn Vandenboss, of Climax; daughter-in-law Pat (Jeff) Vandenboss; daughter Joy (Dale) VanHaitsma of McBain, Michigan; son Scott (Karen) Vandenboss of Plainwell, Michigan; daughter Sara (David) Drallette of Delton, Michigan; daughter Betsee (Joe) Thompson of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes in Climax. A private interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
