Darlene Carol Rocha, age 80, passed away April 5, 2017 in Kalamazoo, MI. Darlene was born July 15, 1936 in Battle Creek, MI, the daughter of Jacob and Betty (Burton) Van Vleet. For over 21 years she was employed with The Shakespeare Company; then was employed by the Kalamazoo Gazette from 1989 until her retirement in 2000. Darlene enjoyed going out to eat breakfast, eating sweets, shopping, flea markets, garage sales, watching TV especially the WWF, but most of all she loved spending special times with her family. On December 8, 1984, she was united in marriage to Joe Rocha, who preceded her in death on February 23, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by an infant brother Jacob; by two sons Chris Moser and Earl Moser. Surviving are her children Suzanne Knight and Scott Moser; grandchildren Rebecca Diduch, Ronnie Rabb, Linnea Hughes, Sarah Smith, Tlesha Keeler, Cameron Moser and Cassie Covey; 21 great-grandchildren; and many other special family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 8th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, where a service to celebrate her life will begin at 1:00 pm with Monsignor Michael Hazard officiating. A private entombment will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Four Seasons Mausoleum. Memorials contributions in Darlene's memory may be directed to a charity of your choice.
