Angela passed away Monday evening, October 2, 2017 at The Springs at Bronson Place. She was born on May 31, 1939 in Havana, Cuba the daughter of the late Andres and Maria A. (Fresneda) Oviedo. In 1971, Angela and her family immigrated to the United States from Cuba. Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Kalamazoo received the Oviedo's as members. She was an active member of Immanuel Church for many years until she found a new church family at Kalamazoo Covenant Church in 2015. Angela loved traveling with her late brother Andy and she maintained many relationships in both Florida and Cuba. She was employed by The Upjohn Co for many years until her retirement. Surviving are her Michigan family, Kris and Denny Scheffers and many close church family and friends. Funeral services for Angela will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, Oct. 9, at Kalamazoo Covenant Church, 5708 E. Main Street, where friends may visit from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Pastor Dave Beetham will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
